DIY Costumes using Under the Nile Long Johns

Posted on

Halloween is a fun night for kids! But the cost of a costume that is realistically worn for just one night is not fun for any parent.

Don’t worry, we have some great DIY costume ideas using an Under the Nile favorite… Long Johns! You’ll not only buy a “costume”, but you’re also buying a pair of warm and cozy pajamas.

Ballerina Princess

A fun pink top, tutu, and of course a tiara creates the perfect ballerina princess but adding our pink striped long john will help keep your princess warm for the night.

Fun Loving Clown

Our navy prism print pant matched with our navy rugby striped top makes a great clown! Simply add some fun colorful accessories. We went with a clown hat, suspenders, and a funny looking tie.

Raggedy Ann Doll

Pair our red rugby striped long johns with a denim dress and an apron to become an old favorite doll. You can make a yarn wig or use a red hair accessory to finish off the costume.

Hmmm… it seems holiday cat and dog are in for the fun.

Where’s Waldo?

Become the character who is hard to find with our red rugby striped top, denim pants, glasses, and a DIY hat using red and white fleece with a pom made from the red fleece scraps. costume (Tip: Instead of purchasing glasses, save a pair of 3D glasses from a movie and pop out the lenses.)

It’s always fun to be in costume, but it’s better to be able to wear it more than once. We hope you’re inspired from these ideas! What do you or your child plan to be for Halloween?

Hii, Love this post. Especially given it is hard to find organic halloween costumes, this is such a saver! We’d ( be happy to share this content on our social and even do a blog feature. Will be great to both of us to cross-promote each other give we are both targeted at organic, eco-friendly buyers.
We have very active social channels on FB and IG – @greenpinatatoys and an active blog as well. Happy to team up for cross promotion. Let me know.
