Small Businesses Celebration – Under the Nile

Small Businesses Celebration

When I first started Under the Nile 20 years ago, no one even knew what organic cotton was!

'Organic' was a word associated with Hippies and Tree Huggers. No one was interested or cared about organic cotton yet. I hit the pavement to sell Under the Nile, personally going from store to store, trying to show everyone our unique products and telling them about our special mission of Organic and Fair Trade baby products.

Back then, Under the Nile headquarters was at our home. When we got a shipment from Egypt, the truck with a big shipping container in tow would show up right in front of our house! We had to unpack everything really quickly before everyone in our neighborhood came home from work. The house would be so full of boxes the whole family would have to maneuver our way around and clear small pathways to walk around.

We've come a long way since then, but even after 20 years we've stayed true to our vision. We're still a small, family owned business and we think of all our customers as part of our Under the Nile family. We know you share our values and mission of sustainability.

Fly-by companies are born every day in this industry and the organic baby clothing market is so saturated now. I can tell you we are the Real Deal.

We are unique for having 100% organic Egyptian cotton, Fair Traded and GOTS certified products.

We produce ethically made products that you can trust to be soft, pure, and always adorable. We work extra hard to make a positive impact on the Earth and society, so you can shop without worry.

Every purchase you make with Under the Nile has the extra benefit of making our world a better place, and it means a lot to us. Thank you for trusting us to bring you the best baby clothing, toys and accessories.

We're proud to be a small business! Thank you for all your support. Please celebrate Small Business Saturday with us and enjoy our Green Friday Holiday Weekend Sales!
Peace and Love,
Janice Masoud
