Give Peas a Chance! – Under the Nile
Give Peas a Chance!

Give Peas a Chance!

Do you have a picky eater at home? Don't worry, Under the Nile can help you with that!

It’s tough to get your children to eat nutritious things, but Under the Nile created a fruit and veggie collection to help parents with this. We believe that children are more likely to eat healthy foods if they have an opportunity to learn and play with them throughout the day. To try this, we encourage parents to use a “show, tell, and taste” process.

Show:

Let the children play with their new healthy friend and show how fun fruit and vegetables truly can be.

Tell:

As the children continue to play with their fruits and veggies, tell them more information on each kind and how important they are for the children.

Taste:

Once the children are enjoying the activity, capitalize on the fun times by serving carrot sticks, broccoli trees, or other kid-friendly “green” snacks to taste and reinforce the notion that eating vegetables is fun!

Since it's release almost a decade ago, our fruit tote and veggie crate became one of our all-time best sellers!

We didn’t create our fruit and veggie toys anticipating success in sales. We created them hoping it would easier for parents to teach children to learn to love them during play time and meal time.

Hopefully soon your child will learn to love and eat fruit and vegetables, and you’ll never want your child to stop playing with food. ;)

We're Celebrating!

One of our favorite baby food bloggers, Michele from Baby Foode, released a new book called Little Bento. To help celebrate, she will be having a giveaway featuring items from our fruit and veggie collection! Funniest moment was when my LO checked my husbands pants for poop!

The baby girl I took care of, loved to get a Starbucks treat with me every day. Her favorite were the butterfly cookies in the summer. One day we had just picked up a Starbucks butterfly cookie and were in the car on our way to the pool. The car window next to her was cracked because she loved the wind in her hair. Suddenly I was her throwing her butterfly cookie out of the window and I asked her why she did that. Her answer: the butterfly wanted to fly to the pool instead of driving in the car LOL

My first baby, a little girl, is due in 8 weeks! Have a closet full of UTN clothes for her and feel good knowing she will benefit from your products, and so too will the people who made it and the people who grew the cotton. Thank you for your products!

When my son rolled off of his playmate and opened the TV Stand with his feet.

When my son was so hungry he started sucking on my chin, trying to get some milk! ?

My biggest facepalm moment was taking the kids out to eat and having them both spill their waters (in cups with lids) within 30 seconds of the server setting the cups down in front of them.

My biggest face palm moment is when my 6 ’onto old daughter fell splat asleep in her plate of puréed green beans and brown rice! Splashed all over my cream walls! ???

Emerald Padilla

My biggest recent face palm moment was when my toddler was excitedly trying to hide behind me during a game of hide and seek while simultaneously accidentally pulling my pants down in front of my family

Most of my face palm moments involve forgetting things! I blame it on this lack of sleep I am enduring :)

One day I noticed a bright red bump on LO’s foot. Of course, I started freaking out and immediately took a picture and emailed the doctor, and said I would make an appointment first thing Monday morning.

Later that day, I was showing the bump to my MIL, who looked closely at it – then without even missing a beat, licked her thumb and rubbed the bump right off with a few good rubs.

The funniest thing about it was having to email the doctor and say “Soooo, the bump turned out to be a drip of strawberry goo from yesterday. New mom moment LOL!”

I’m not gonna meet my little veghead boy until May but as a fruit and veggie lover and advocate of organic plant based eating, these toys are absolutely brilliant and vibrant! Never seen anything so unique and fun especially when it comes to educating the little ones on how amazing plants are!

Love the feel of all your clothing. Prices are great. I want nothing but best for my new grand baby

I’m not a human parent yet, 4.5 months to go, but I am a doggie parent. And the best LOL I’ve had from her was when she tried to leap onto a 4 ft. retaining wall to catch a bird. Needless to say, she lost.

My 1 1/2 year old saw a car pulling away from the curb (with a leaking something) and shouted with glee “Peeeee”. Yes Sweetie, the car is peeing

Omg my most recent “mom” moment was brushing my teeth in the shower with my toddler tonight and thinking oh this is a squishy toothbrush! Only to find I was using her partially silicone toothbrush and she was next to me overly excited srubbing her whole body with my fun New to her toothbrush!

Friend: “Are you excited to start school next year?”
Daughter: “I already do homeschool.”
F: “Oh, well what’s 1+1?”
D:“1!”

My biggest face palm moment is definitely kids repeating embarrassing things or telling embarrassing stories to other adults/teachers!

Emerald Padilla

Mine was a “Face Palm” moment for sure as a matter of fact there was a lot of them with four kids! .
